The BLACKBOX-62 is a portable, all-in-one waste disposal solution — a commercial-grade wastewater holding tank with a fully automated pump system. It's the perfect way to move waste water from portable cabins, portable offices, tiny homes and semi-permanently sited RVs to a suitable disposal location on a suburban or rural property, building site, holiday Bach and more.

How it works

Waste water from the kitchen, bathroom and toilet drains into the 62-litre holding tank. Inside sits a large-capacity 750 W centrifugal pump (15,000 litres/hour) with a built-in float switch: when the fluid reaches a set level, the float automatically switches the pump on and the waste is pumped out through the 40 mm outlet pipe; when the level drops, the pump switches itself off. Fully automatic — no manual emptying.

Performance

The pump moves fluids up to 100 m in distance or up to an 8 m head height (manufacturer's specs). We recommend working on 80 m distance or 6 m head height — it's best to be conservative with toilet waste. The pump has a 40 mm flow diameter; connect 40 mm - 50 mm alkathene pipe or 40 mm pressure pipe to the outlet.

Installed this 4 months ago to service a new toilet / shower and small kitchen installed into in a sleepout. Needed to pump circa 20 meters on a slight vertical (about 300mm uphill) into tank. Been operating perfectly since I turned on the system and have had no issues. Unit easily deals with this sort of job. Very easy to set up and install myself and works perfectly as expected. Very compact and tidy unit. Super happy with this product. Tim was very accommodating letting me pick up first day out of lockdown and also upgraded to a larger non return valve while I waited.

We build portable accommodation and find the black box macerator to be a great unit. They are located out side the building so that if there is ever a blockage/leak or any other problem, there is no mess inside and the toilet doesn’t have to be removed to get access like other macerator units. This also means that there is more space internally in an already tight ensuite as you don’t have a macerator attached to the back of your toilet and pushing it away from the wall. These are a great solution!

I have had the Blackbox installed behind our cabin, for shower and toilet waste water, and I must say it works fantastically ! It pumps the wastewater a good 30 mtrs, no issues at all. I like the setup, and it is absolutely perfect for the job. I spoke with Tim prior to ordering and he helped me immensely with any concerns or questions I had, Tim offered good advice and shipping was super quick. Well done Team !

I have been using this for 12 months now in my Tiny House on Wheels. Works very, very well, pumping quite a distance & uphill to my main house toilet trap. So no council involvement, and no requirement for a drain layer. The only time I had a problem was when guests disposed of a wet wipe down the toilet and blocked one of the breather holes. Tim was extremely helpful and the problem was solved with a quick phone call. Totally recommended.
