For blackwater, look at pumps described as macerator, sewage or solids-handling pumps. A macerator breaks down waste before pumping it through a smaller discharge hose or pipe. Before regular use, test the installation with clean water. Check that the pump primes as intended, that the non-return valve works, and that every joint stays dry under pressure.
